40 years ago you could buy a Pleasanton home for $25,000, today it’s $850,000… how much will the home you buy today be worth in 40 years?
If you are worried about the market values today, remember 40 years from now the home you buy today for $850,000 could increase 3,300% to $30,000,000. That was the increase from 1965. Crunch the numbers, it’s a huge increase, but so is $25,000 to $850,000.
Remember, buy a home that is unique, one you will enjoy, close to amenities and one somebody else would if you didn’t buy it. It’s one way to look at the numbers, but remember all areas are different and this is one example from the Pleasanton Valley / Birdland neighborhood in Pleasanton.

Will the same home bought 40 years for $25k cost now $850,000 or a new one? Coz, 40 years from now the home will be 40+ years old.

Today the homes bought 40 years ago are selling for 3,300% more. Some of the most expensive homes in Pleasanton are Downtown and pushing 100 years old. It depends a lot on location, but even a 40 year old home will sell for $1,000,000 today.
