Pleasanton Installs Wi-Fi Downtown

Pleasanton has just installed a Wi-Fi network Downtown allowing people to set up anywhere downtown (within the Wi-Fi network) and connect to the internet. This will be great for people to conduct business, students to work or anyone to catch up on news, sports or search for real estate! Not to mention you can tell your boss you will be ‘working’ downtown in your ‘mobile’ office.

The primary purpose of the Downtown Wi-Fi is to allow City personnel access the City’s private local area network from the Downtown and in City buildings. A secondary purpose is to promote economic development in the Downtown by providing dependable and free Internet access to the General Public.
